MeisterPrep started in 2017 when two German logistics professionals saw a gap in the American 3PL market. Ansgar Thune brought 15+ years of supply chain management experience from European distribution networks, and Baris Talaysum had built his career scaling e-commerce operations across multiple marketplaces. They shared a frustration: most US-based 3PLs treated small and mid-size sellers as an afterthought, offering cookie-cutter services with little transparency and even less accountability. So they built something different. MeisterPrep launched with a single 40,000 sq ft warehouse in Long Beach, California, focused on Amazon FBA prep and direct-to-consumer fulfillment. The founding principle was straightforward: apply the precision and process discipline common in German logistics to the fast-moving American e-commerce landscape. Today, MeisterPrep operates four warehouses totaling over 350,000 sq ft of operational space across Long Beach CA, Des Plaines IL, Houston TX, and Charleston SC. These locations were chosen for their proximity to major ports (Los Angeles/Long Beach, Houston, Charleston) and central distribution hubs, giving our clients 2-day ground shipping coverage to over 95% of the US population. Our team of 80+ warehouse and operations staff processes over 2 million units per month across all channels. We are an Amazon SPN (Service Provider Network) certified prep center, a Walmart-approved 3PL, and an authorized fulfillment partner for TikTok Shop. Beyond marketplace prep, we handle Shopify and WooCommerce D2C fulfillment, B2B wholesale distribution to retail chains like CVS and Walgreens, and international freight forwarding for importers moving goods from Asia and Europe. What sets MeisterPrep apart is operational consistency. Every warehouse runs the same WMS, the same quality inspection protocols, and the same SLA targets regardless of location. A seller shipping into Long Beach gets the same labeling accuracy, the same turnaround time, and the same reporting as one shipping into Charleston. That consistency is not accidental. It comes from building standard operating procedures first and then scaling the facilities around them. We also invest heavily in technology integration. Our WMS connects directly with Seller Central, Walmart Seller Center, Shopify, ShipStation, and most major ERP platforms.
