Your Electronics Fulfillment Warehouse
Electronics and technology products require handling protocols that most warehouses simply do not offer. Static discharge can destroy a $200 circuit board. A misrouted lithium battery shipment can trigger DOT fines starting at $75,000 per violation. Serial numbers that are not tracked at the unit level create warranty headaches and gray-market exposure. MeisterPrep operates four US warehouses -- Long Beach, Des Plaines, Houston, and Charleston -- each with electronics handling areas built for ESD-safe work. Our teams are trained on ESD-safe procedures, and our hazmat staff holds current IATA DGR and 49 CFR certifications for lithium battery shipping. We work with electronics brands on Amazon FBA, Walmart Marketplace, TikTok Shop, Shopify D2C, B2B wholesale, and direct import from manufacturers in Shenzhen, Dongguan, and other production hubs. From consumer gadgets and accessories to enterprise hardware, we handle the compliance and security requirements that come with high-value, regulation-heavy inventory.
How We Handle Electronics Inventory
Every electronics SKU goes through four stages with serial-level tracking, ESD protocols, and compliance checks built into each one.
Receiving with Serial Number Capture and Damage Inspection
When electronics inventory arrives, our team scans each unit’s serial number or IMEI at the pallet or case level, depending on your tracking requirements. We verify quantities against the purchase order, inspect packaging for transit damage, and photograph any anomalies. For imports, we confirm that FCC labeling, UL marks, and any required country-of-origin markings are present and legible. Units that fail inspection are quarantined and documented with photos before we notify you. All serial numbers are logged in our WMS, creating an auditable chain of custody from the moment product hits our dock.
ESD-Safe Storage and High-Value Security
Electronics inventory is stored in designated ESD-protected zones with anti-static flooring, grounding straps at all workstations, and humidity monitoring. High-value SKUs (above $500 per unit) are stored in locked cage areas with restricted access limited to authorized personnel. Our WMS tracks every unit by serial number and storage location, so you have real-time visibility into exactly where each piece of inventory sits. We carry warehouse legal liability insurance and can accommodate additional cargo insurance for high-value accounts. Cycle counts for electronics inventory run weekly rather than the standard monthly schedule, and discrepancies trigger immediate investigation.
Lithium Battery Compliance and Hazmat Prep
If your products contain or are packed with lithium-ion or lithium-metal batteries, every shipment must comply with DOT 49 CFR and IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. Our hazmat-certified team handles the classification (UN3481 for lithium-ion packed with equipment, UN3091 for lithium-metal, and so on), applies the correct Class 9 hazmat labels, and prepares the required shipping documentation including shipper’s declarations for air freight. For Amazon FBA, we manage the exemption paperwork and make sure battery-containing products are prepped to Amazon’s dangerous goods program requirements. Walmart and other retail channels have their own battery documentation standards, and we handle those too. Non-compliant battery shipments get rejected at carrier hubs, Amazon FCs, and retail DCs, so getting this right the first time saves you delays and penalty fees.
Channel-Specific Packaging and Outbound QC
Electronics are fragile and high-value, so packaging matters more than in most product categories. For Amazon FBA, we prep units per Amazon’s oversize, standard, and small-and-light requirements, with bubble wrap, poly bags, or frustration-free packaging as needed. Retail shipments to Walmart, Best Buy, or specialty retailers follow their routing guides with correct case packs, GS1-128 labels, and ASN transmission. D2C orders through Shopify or TikTok Shop ship in branded or unbranded packaging with foam inserts or air pillows to prevent transit damage. Every outbound unit goes through a final QC scan that verifies the serial number matches the order, the correct accessories are included, and the packaging is sealed properly. Same-day shipping for D2C orders placed before 2 PM local time.
Unit-Level Serial Tracking for Warranty and Anti-Diversion
Every unit in our system is tracked by its unique serial number from receiving through outbound. You know exactly which serial number shipped to which customer, which channel it sold through, and when it left the warehouse. For warranty claims, you can verify whether a unit was actually purchased from an authorized channel. For brands dealing with gray-market diversion, serial tracking provides the evidence needed to identify where product is leaking out of authorized distribution. Our WMS exports serial-level shipping data in formats compatible with most warranty management and channel enforcement platforms.
Certified Hazmat Handling for Lithium Batteries
Lithium battery compliance is not something you can figure out as you go. DOT and IATA update their regulations at least annually, and a single mislabeled shipment can result in fines, carrier bans, and inventory holds at fulfillment centers. Our hazmat team maintains current certifications and stays on top of regulatory changes. We handle Section II small battery exemptions, Section I fully regulated shipments, and everything in between. For sellers on Amazon's dangerous goods program, we manage the MSDS documentation, exemption sheets, and product classification that Amazon requires before they will receive battery-containing products. Walmart Marketplace and TikTok Shop have their own battery shipping rules, and we handle compliance for those channels the same way.
High-Value Inventory Protection
Electronics theft and shrinkage cost the industry billions annually. Our facilities use 24/7 camera surveillance, restricted-access cage storage for high-value SKUs, badge-controlled entry to electronics zones, and background-checked personnel. Cycle counts run weekly on electronics inventory, and any variance triggers same-day investigation with a documented resolution. We report inventory accuracy rates above 99.8% for electronics accounts. For brands shipping products valued above $1,000 per unit, we offer additional security protocols including dual-verification picking (two team members confirm serial and quantity) and sealed-container outbound processing.
Import Support for Overseas Manufacturers
Many electronics brands import directly from factories in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and other manufacturing hubs. Our Long Beach warehouse is 12 miles from the Port of Long Beach, and our Houston and Charleston locations serve their respective port complexes. We coordinate with your freight forwarder on container delivery appointments, handle drayage scheduling, and can receive containers directly at our docks. For first-time importers, we help you understand FCC compliance requirements, country-of-origin labeling, and the documentation needed to clear customs without delays. Our team processes inbound containers from overseas manufacturers daily.
